www.microsoft.com Now Running on Server 2008 Beta 3

Microsoft has always followed the "dog food" policy, forcing their updates down their own throats before ever releasing them onto the unwashed masses. That gives them street cred for putting up with their own pre-release software before we have to, and also gives them production-worthy experience to help with bug fixes and other pre-release issues

The Microsoft Public Sector and Platform Evangelism Blog has a few great links to the current dog fooding program that has www.microsoft.com running on Server 2008 Beta 3.

Ever wonder why sometimes the www.microsoft.com site can be a tad slow. Apparently its the 5th most trafficked site in the world, and gets 10K requests per second. But, it is also consistently the #1 most available site too. Wow.
