Tuesday "Just for Fun": Google Trends

Interested in finding out how many people are interesting in finding out about things?

Google Trends, at http://www.google.com/trends is Google's newest mashup that will tell you how many people are checking out any search string you can enter. It'll also tell you where they come from and what language they speak.

Here's a sample...

Try entering in "windows server". Note the downward trend since its release.

Then, try entering in "windows vista". Notice the sharp increase in its popularity.

"windows longhorn" too has a downward trend. But, I suspect that that'll start increasing dramatically as we near the release date.

Why do you think we're seeing a decrease in interest in search tems for the server products? Are people now just more comfortable with it and so generic "windows server" information is unnecessary?
