Microsoft Announces Official Launch Date for Server 2008 at WWPC

One other juicy bit of news that all of us are interested in is the announcement of the Launch Date for Server 2008.

According to the keynote, the date will be...

...February 27th of next year. They went on to say that that date is set in stone, whether they're ready for it or not (though they then "promised" to be...).

Also to be launched on that date are Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 -- though I've heard rumors of the SQL launch actually occurring without the actual product to launch due to delays.

Would that be a...failure to launch?
