ScriptLogic to become Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of Quest
In this recent blog post I discussed the recent announcement of the merger between Quest and ScriptLogic. In that post I mentioned, "I hope only that the acquisition by Quest doesn't impact their ability to generate valuable new updates and keep Desktop Authority as fresh as it currently is."
Well, some inside information has recently tricked down to me that...
...the conditions of the buy-out include that ScriptLogic will operate as a wholly-owned subsidary of Quest. This means that their management will remain separated.
I see this as a good thing between the two companies: Keeping Quest's consultant-heavy products and philosophy away from ScriptLogic's do-it-yourself mentality is a good thing.
More on this as it continues to come available. But again, I see the unfolding news here as good news.

I completely agree. There is nothing to worry about. As I've read in their blog and NetworkWorld article this acquisition will bring a lot of new abilities to both companies. As a user of scriplogic's products like desktop authority and active administrator I'm sure this is really good news for all network administrators. Scriptlogic do their job very well and we can expect even more new products and new features in existing ones.
