The Virtualization Product Ecosystem

I got a catalog in the mail from a company called techXtend. This company is pushing shrink-wrapped software through an on-line web site and phone number operators. In a way, sort of like CDW. Usually I toss these catalogs when I get them, but one page in this one attracted my attention.

In it was a very nice diagram showing a number of companies that write software that aligns and augments virtualization environments. Though this page was specific to VMware-based virtualization environments, much of the software here works with any native virtualization software package. Each product was categorized into one of six categories.
