"Windows Server 2008: What's New / What's Changed" is off to the publisher!

You heard it here first! My book Windows Server 2008: What's New / What's Changed is now officially complete and in the hands of the publisher. You'll be able to get your own copy within a week at www.sapienpress.com.

We're doing the release of this book really differently than what you're used to seeing with other publications. Obviously, Windows Server is still in a state of flux. So we're offering a "pre-release" version of this book now in e-book form. SAPIEN Press, who I'm writing this through calls it their "IPO" or Initial Public Offering version. We've done minimal editing with the intent of getting it into your hot little hands as fast as possible.

Check it out. Here's the direct link to the book: http://www.sapienpress.com/Windows_Server_08.asp. I'll post again once its available for purchase.

Without any table of contents or index, the total page count comes to just shy of 250 pages. So, you're getting your money's worth. If you want more detail, don't hesitate to drop me an email or a comment to this post and I'll answer any questions you have.

What's particularly neat about this format is that the e-book format will include a link to an on-line site where you can post your comments or suggestions for the second edition. That edition will occur closer to the actual release of Windows Server 2008 early next year. Even better, when you sign up for the pre-release IPO version, you are entitled to the second edition once it releases for no extra charge. Its like getting two books for the price of one!

Now, I'm going to sit back and have a beer. Seven weeks and 250 pages later, its time for one of the good beers!
